I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor in the state of Texas, a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor and EMDR Trained. From 2009-2016, I worked as an Adjunct Professor in the Professional Counseling Masters Program at Texas State University, teaching a variety of clinical courses focusing on child and adult counseling.
I earned my B.S. in Communication Studies at the University of Texas at Austin and my M.S. and Ph.D. in Counseling from the University of North Texas. Proudly, I received my play therapy training from one of the top ranked play therapy programs in the world, the University of North Texas.
I have more than 15 years of counseling experience that qualifies me to counsel children, adolescents and adults. My client experiences range from working with clients struggling with depression, anxiety, eating disorders, OCD, grief, abuse and trauma. I have experience as a play therapist working in community counseling settings as well as in elementary schools.
I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) Therapy and I am a Certified EMDR Therapist. I incorporate EMDR into my counseling practice with clients of all ages to help clients cope with disturbances or trauma.

I earned my Master of Arts in Counseling from Liberty University and my Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from American Military University. I am an Army Veteran and I have experience working with teens, adults, and families in both nonprofit and for profit organizations.
